who the hell updates using a USB?
Instead of an "upgrade" that'll leave forgotten files behind, you can put the update on a usb or a dvd and wipe the disk before installing it. No windows is faster than a new one.

Optimizations (CPU and RAM usage, I think), better UI, Cortana (If you're in the US), DX12.

windows 10 takes all of your personal files and saves them in the exact same place you left them hours ago. the only thing it changes is the core files.
