Author Topic: So Apparently Blockland Has Another Competition.  (Read 4118 times)

For some reason, to me, it doesn't look very appealing. The graphics look cool and all, but it doesn't feel right. I don't know, I just don't like the look of it.
Same here.

Can someone write a converter to convert Lego World structures into Blockland structures?

We may not get the attention Blockland deserves, but at least let's make use of their game.

why don't you focus on the discussion you major starfish

0/10 no mini nukes
But seriously, this looks like a cool game.

The game is SOLO ONLY there's your biggest distinction from blockland mate.
Right now it is solo only, in the future it will have multiplayer

i hope Lego is sensible enough to put proper modding support in

also it seems a bit unfair that this Lego game is receiving x10 the amount of attention while blockland gets nothing and it is, in a way, the same exact thing

Badspot doesn't advertise, and does not own as big a company as Lego. If Blockland had an ad on TV or Youtube at least once or twice, i'm sure it would attract some newer players than the ones on Steam. That is one reason Blockland lacks players. Another is, Blockland's Update age is over. The game is supported by our mod community and hard working builders/hosts. Not by Badspot entirely. Badspot only updates the game to fix code bugs to help the modding players.

will it have add-ons and gamemodes and all of that jazz

will it have add-ons and gamemodes and all of that jazz
They said they would "explore supporting Mods at a later date" after they get the game stable and working correctly.

Well at least it's advertising Blockland as well :)

Yep so far so good crap

Imagine if all of the problematic users that we dealt with migrated to that game just to forget with other people.

Imagine if all of the problematic users that we dealt with migrated to that game just to forget with other people.
Then blockland would be rediscovered after loads of searchs of "lego worlds like games" and the problem users might come back

Lego Worlds would be the best if it also had vehicles that can be driven, first-person view, ranged weapons, privately hosted multiplayer servers, and something like brick events. In the video he went into the model house and you could only see the player from outside of the house, which was kind of odd.

More people probably bought that game than blockland already.

True that

~ Crappy interiors
~ No events
~ No real combat
~ Low modding capability
~ No gamemodes
~ No First Person
~ No Multiplayer (might be added)

I really don't see how it compares to Blockland. I can't set up a DayZ or Hunger Games gamemode in a lego game.
It's like the difference between Blender and Garry's Mod. One can make prettier pictures, but the other you can play.
