bay area would be cool or like new orleans and the surrounding swamplands

Speaking of swamplands, the swampfolk from Point Lookout seem to be making a comeback. There was a guy out by a farm in the E3 montage with a striking similarity

AFAIK, New Orleans wasn't hit with a nuke in-lore, so most of it is intact to the point of anything that wasn't wiped out by fallout, flooding and other natural or unnatural causes.

It would be a pretty interesting spot considering the coast being so close

south dakota
a bunch of forest, small towns, and mount rushmore

Pretty interesting video on world building, background setting, and story telling

I'm working on a small little fallout rpg for blockland just for the fun of it, what's a good setting besides the capital wasteland or the mojave desert that fits in with the lore?
Well you could try setting your world in the area you live in, or some area that hasn't been done yet like say the super northern states like Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Dakotas. Lots of room for world building and imagination.

Do it in New York, call it Nuclear Winter, server of the year.

I would imagine new York being mostly destroyed and only a small piece of it on the outskirts being and spared from a bomb blast. Mostly because in total war the goal is destroy everything the enemy has to break their spirit by destroying everything and anything and everyone becomes a target whether or not they are military. Everything from state capitals, to big cities, to DC, and known military bases would have been a pile of rubble or large area of nothing.

I'd go more with an place that does have much to begin with because you do more with your imagination.

Fallout 5: Memphis is what I'm looking forward to. I mean really, pretty low population center, not of any real importance, full of stufftons of 50s bullstuff and a rare view into the post-Apocalyptic south.

Oh, also Fallout: Canada would be fun. Deathclaw Mooses would be fantastic.

I was thinking of a setting near Anchorage, Alaska considering it was a very important battle in the lore and it would be fun to build.

Or try to recreate a section of the pipeline. Maybe factor in the Chinese invasion and the Canadian protest that would have occurred with the American military presence in Canada.

hmm the US did annex Canada, so I imagine they'd have a ton of opportunity for storylines there
Also 10x more yao guai

a rare view into the post-Apocalyptic south.
Another media outlet giving its "take",videogame or not, on the South is the last thing we need. I'd imagine it being chock full of biased stereotypes.

Inbreds, confederate hats, infinite supply of grits, seems pretty accurate to me.
