Apparently there's talk about not having to load for every door you walk through in Fallout 4. I'd love to not have to stare at a loading screen whenever I enter a tiny house.

A person can dream, but I seriously doubt it.

Like you said, its just talk. Bethesda hasnt said anything about anything so its all speculation.

I just don't want the entire game to end after the last main quest

Oooh yeah having it all load at the beginning would be nice

I think they realized their mistake after Fallout 3 where they had to make Broken Steel continue it. Didn't New Vegas let you keep playing after you finished?

no

It may sound unreasonable but with proper optimization it could quite easily work with the rest of the game.

This, That annoyed me so much in Fallout:NV because wanted to see what would have changed after the battle of Hoover Dam

no, if they had it would have set a precedent for the game not ending, and I don't think I would've said that

They didnt have enough development time to do any of that stuff.

It seems pretty unrealistic to me. Rumours say that the world is even bigger than Skyrims world, which would take TONS of power to never have a loading screen.

I don't even care about seeing changes caused by the main questline, I just wanna be able to finish it and still play

uh... they don't load the whole map at once in full detail...

Witcher 3 doesn't have loading screens on every house.

You underestimate the power of optimization. You realize they don't have to load and render the whole map at the same time right? Only a tiny part of it that you can actually see.

I'll bump this in preparation for the conference in 16-17 hours or so.

10 pm est for me
can't wait for the conference

I use an SSD so it's done loading before the sound of the door even plays. As nice as that'd be, I really don't mind.
