i don't see whats wrong with the hype. i'm kinda of confused about the plot. he said it takes place before the bomb, and then 200 years after the bomb was dropped?? why does fallout 3 looks so much more devastating then?
the beginning is before the bomb, then you get to the vault, there's probable cryogenic chambers, you wake up 200 years later, your family is probably dead, and you're out alone in the wastes.

fallout 3 was based in the capital, which obviously got stuff on the most.

He goes into the vault, gets cryogenically frozen, wakes up 200 years later. As for the devastation, a lore friendly answer would be that the explosion was closer in the setting of Fallout 3. Another one might be that they realized that completely dead everything gets boring.

alright. i wanna know the system requirements. 5 months away, they should have them.

Probably nothing extreme. It is a beth game afterall.

Yea I can see a greater concentration of nuclear bombardment for the DC area.

I wonder if it really IS cryostasis tho. Maybe this was one of the experimental vaults that was experimenting in anti-aging drugs or something. That would be cool. Did they say it was cryostasis?

Just going to say this again.

Bethesda designed FO3 like the bombs fell the day before. No place would look like DC did 200 years after the bombs.

The vaults weren't meant for goofy experiments though.

but theoretically, wouldn't there have to be many, many bombs dropped to cause the world to be in a nuclear holocaust? i mean tsar bomba's blast radius is barely a fraction of the united states.

They were designed for social experimentation, no?

Yes

Yes
It wasn't JUST for social experiments though was it? There are one or two vaults in the game if i recall that point beyond that too.
