reality is obviously a virtual simulation, played by friends

reality is very much an illusion. it only seems so real because we are used to believing that things are real as it is. we were born to test, and for the world to progress. great thinkers are the reason we have anything today, and they passed the test

Author Topic: is reality a virtual simulation, an illusion, or just real?  (Read 1595 times)

This yep
There are a lot of existential quandaries that can be avoided by realizing that they don't matter.
This. The only useful insight that's ever come out of debates over solipsism is that your own mind must exist. But even the guy who came up with that is far more well-known  for being misquoted as saying, "Give her the richard".

i thought everyone else was actually robots and lived in 4 year old paranoia for about a week

You could argue what reality is... What do you define as "real"? Even if everything is a simulation, humans have classified that simulation as real.

All that I know is that what we really know about the universe or practically everything is very minimal, and our perception of things aren't as they really are.

I remember when I was younger I wondered if my mind was the only real mind, and that everyone and everything else was a holodeck simulation, that I was being watched and studied by aliens so they could observe and study my behavior. I called this "Holodeckism".

how can reality be real if our eyes aren't real
