Like I've said before, there's not any "normal" or "abnormal" in this sort of situation, only more and less common.
You should probably note that "he" and "she" are both gendered pronouns, and yet... not at all ridiculous. If someone asks you to use a less common pronoun, why not just do it? You don't go around renaming people whose names you find unusual (or at least, you shouldn't), and pronouns should be no different.
Guys seriously, a few stupid teens on tumblr bent over and shat out a tonne of "gender identities" and you're actually gonna take them seriously? Male/female that's it, that's how it's always been and how it will always be.
Do you SERIOUSLY think that the idea that gender isn't completely binary started with or is limited to tumblr?

The day this happens then sure, but it will definitely not happen any time soon. Science can't even tell the cause for the majority of diseases people get or even how to treat them properly as of now... To be able to change every single gene you have in your body would be even more complicated than finding a cure to cancer.
You do know that hormone therapy (for both trans men and women) and loveual reassignment therapy (for trans women) are getting very, very good, right? It doesn't matter what's going on on a genetic level because genes are a blueprint, not the end product.

I don't think your theory is correct. I know transgendered people who have gone to rather extreme lengths to keep their identity hidden.
Who would've thought that trans people who are regularly subjected to harassment and discrimination if not murdered simply for being trans would want to keep their identity hidden, right? And of course his "theory" is incorrect, he's been doing nothing but making things up.
