I'd like to think all internet freedoms are connected. You can't step on a tail and not expect the head to bite you.
We already talked about this. This is about breaking harassment rules, not freedom. Apples and oranges.
Sounds like censorship to me.
It was an extension of the pre-existing "no gaming scandals" rule. It was simply expanded to name GamerGate specifically. r/games is about the production,
promotion distribution, and discussion of the games themselves (ideally). There are other subs to discuss gaming scandals that are NOT r/games.
