also to hammer it in here's another good quote
"As someone who used to main Wii Fit Trainer for a good while, I do believe that Wii Fit is best played defensively (zoning playstyle). Approaching is somewhat possible, but only after you've conditioned your opponent a certain way with your zoning. Wii Fit Trainer relies on forcing the opponent's approach rather than approaching herself due to many flaws (awkward aerials, bad poking ranges, short grab range, but effective zoning and healing).
Overall, Wii Fit Trainer's playstyle is reactive. He/she doesn't have the tools to control the tempo of the match like other characters. "
people stuff on wft for being a spam character and stuff but there is literally nothing that can be done about it. you can TRY to be aggressive and control the match, but you're absolutely going to lose if the person you're fighting is good. unless sakurai actually gives her solid offensive options, she's doomed to be a projectile character. really, the only reason john numbers does good at wii fit trainer is because of how good he is at smash 4 in general, and wii fit trainer is honestly holding him back. im happy that he sticks with her, but wii fit trainer deserves so much better.
but seriously anybody who has actually taken the time to learn the ins and outs of this character like myself are well aware of her flaws and the fact that the only thing that makes up for them are her projectiles.
