Author Topic: $10 bill design to be changed by 2020 to a female figure  (Read 6301 times)

since its for the anniversary of the 19th amendment it'll probably be one of the head.members of the women vote thing

rosa parks?

I think he means during its founding/early years

I think some alternate figures on the bills would be nice (as in, print two versions of the same bill), like what we do for the 50¢ and $1 coins

personally i don't mind the change, but having rare money would be cool, like with quarters

forget your indiana quarters - i'm only trading for that primo south dakota quarter

why on earth would you swap out alexander hamilton

he was the first loving treasurer

I think it's pretty gimmicky and stuffty to choose the gender of the person before the person themselves. That and we really don't need to change something that isn't broke. American money is pretty iconic at this point.

I don't think there is anything wrong with changing our money. The theme that they are following is apparently "democracy" and many women have contributed a lot to the advancement of it in the USA. Just cause they don't have official titles doesn't mean they don't deserve to be put on our currency. They probably would have had major titles such as president or treasurer if they could have even acquired those jobs in the past, but they obviously couldn't do to being female.

wait what
yep, they even ignored the poll where 80% of people said they didn't think she deserved to be on the list.
the poll is still up on their site too, like, they aren't even hiding it. it's really sad how corrupt that is.

My dad used to collect state quarters. He has a US map puzzle with indentations to store quarters on each state, and whenever he, my brother, or I would find a quarter he needed we would add it to the puzzle. I think 2008 was the final year for regular state quarters.

Wait a minute. Does this mean that the new $10 bill will only be worth $7.50?

I vote Kate Upton.

Also does this mean the $10 bill is only worth $7.60 now? :/

i nominate my sister

she's been just as influential on this country as any other woman

oh wait...

this is a woman's world now, why are you all so surprised?

So Hamilton is not going away, they are just going to print alternating bills like what we do with our coins.
