Personally, I think this hardcore political correctness, shyness to violence, and the media in general are killing the country. Media being 24/7 is just an awful and people need to grow up and realize not everyone is going to be nice to you. On the instate side, I think fighting words need to make a comeback, and on the other side I don't think the media should be allowed to cover wars. Nam and the Middle East proved that the average person isn't hard enough to get stuff done anymore, and I'm tired of hearing people talk about what should be done when they've never been anywhere besides a McDonald's 12 feet away.

Young children are active and rowdy. That is because they are children. They don't need to be suspended for playing cops and robbers or saying bang bang with little finger guns. They don't need to be medicated. If you think either of those things are good for kids you should be kept further away from them than someone with a loveual offense.

I've had this problem these past couple years where I can never find people who share my interests. I have plenty of friend-ish people I hang out with, but we almost never have any common ground. The best friends I've ever had are ones I can nerd out to about whatever bullstuff I talk about, but I always feel hypocritical about not being able to treat people just like me as good. Same issue with girls usually, I never have anything "interesting" to say. Don't get me wrong, I'm not like awkward and unsociable, and I can hold a conversation, but I always get this nagging feeling that I'm boring them and that I need to shut up. Honestly, I probably am a pretty boring person, and I hate that.

I used to feel exactly like this like I was boring and I did nothing interesting and had no special talents
But its good to have friends with different interests and hobbies and talents because then you get to experience stuff you would never experience if you just hung out with people exactly like you, you know what Im saying? Like my girlfriend and I are fairly different. The only thing we have in common is we both arent very good at anything and thats ok. But thanks to her I've done a ton of new things and its awesome and I've shown and down a lot of new stuff with her too. So it can actually be a good thing to have friends that dont have a lot of super common interests.

News outlets tend to oversaturate the market with tragedies to push certain kinds of narratives, such as with all these recent shootings. I feel as if this political correctness is more on the side of the loud minority than the large majority, because I've seen more people complaining about how 'things are too PC these days' than people that are actually trying to make things more politically correct.

I don't know the name of the phenomena, but it's an effect where enough people are talking about political correctness that it makes it a popular subject. You may think that it's become a huge issue because many people talk about it, not because it's actually an issue.

I tend to write stories involving brutal murder with high detail

I am technically a sped but just to the point where I need to be in smaller classes so I can focus, these are still normal classes

i can see why women breastfeed in public. breastmilk is far better for the baby than bottled formula, but i think they should at least cover themselves with a privacy scarf so people don't stare at their tit while they breastfeed their child

Not sure what world you're still living in, but yes PC is a common issue. Personally, I think matters of war should be handled by people who've been in one, yes. That's not restricted to active members, that's not restricted to branches. You serve, you get a say. You could be a big wig politician or a dude at home with your puppy. The average dude going to NYU doesn't understand what goes on in a war zone and what needs to be done to protect our soldiers.
