Author Topic: LA Cops shoot unarmed guy in the face  (Read 3043 times)

why the hell do they have to cuff him after shooting him in the damn head

his body was unresponsive. not like he's gonna run with a gaping hole on the back of his head. it's sick.
Well, there's three possibilities I can think of: Either there's an additional circumstance of the incident that we don't know that necessitated handcuffing him, the cops were just following some protocol, or they just did it because they could.

if you read the article they say it is standard procedure to handcuff any suspect

weird how the guy wasn't black so they didn't put his race in the title of the article
real weird

it's like they aren't race baiting

A shot in the head isn't always an instant kill.

ah i understand

tbh i still think it's kinda cruel. if the article speaks the truth, i wouldn't be happy about randomly getting shot in the face and getting cuffed when never armed.

you guys should watch the video, it's on twitter. i won't post it because it's pretty gory. you can see the guy's brain.

people have survived headshots before and have been able to move away

It's easier to survive, the smaller the caliber weapon too, I think.

You wouldn't be happy about it because you would probably be dead, even if a headshot doesn't mean instant death

And lets face it, if you were in his shoes, you wouldn't of survived if others could see your brain

Ah OK, than-
you can see the guy's brain.
oh...

Eventually we're going to get such a clear-cut case of police brutality and homicide that absolutely nobody will be able to defend it with circumstantial assumptions and character attacks.

This might be it, but we'll have to wait until the dust settles. Who knows, maybe this guy had a shoplifting record?

because he's not the "in" race to do that with

Well, if he did just commit a crime immediately prior to the shooting, that would be something to consider. It certainly would make the guy less innocent.

Indeed. I'm just waiting to see how silent the NAACP and all the "pro-african american" groups will probably be about this case just because the guy was latino and not african american. But hey, double standards are all the rage these days, you know.

No it wouldn't, wtf.

Even if you have a felony, that doesn't mean a police officer is justified in shooting you dead for essentially nothing.

You don't instantly lose all of your civil rights as soon as you are convicted of a crime.
