Author Topic: Who here dislikes trans people?  (Read 51736 times)

Taboo you've really been striving to stir up stuff in as many topics as possible today, haven't you?
well i mean it's not unusual for taboo

you're bringing something up from several years ago that hasn't been relevant since and expect me to think you're an intelligent person
ok lol
Taboo, I don't think there's a single thing you could say or do that could make me care less about your opinion of me than I do now. You're welcome to keep trying, though.

being trans isn't a mental illness
if you look up the meaning for mental illness, it very much is

A mental disorder is a syndrome characterized by clinically significant disturbance in an individual's cognition, emotion regulation, or behavior that reflects a dysfunction in the psychological, biological, or developmental processes underlying mental functioning. Mental disorders are usually associated with significant distress in social, occupational, or other important activities. An expectable or culturally approved response to a common stressor or loss, such as the death of a loved one, is not a mental disorder. Socially deviant behavior (e.g., political, religious, or loveual) and conflicts that are primarily between the individual and society are not mental disorders unless the deviance or conflict results from a dysfunction in the individual, as described above.

you're objectively wrong

mental disorder =!= mental illness

mental disorder =!= mental illness
give me a definition-based difference from a credible source; i pulled mine from the DSM-V

mental disorder =!= mental illness
they're synonyms
they're literally synonyms

"A mental disorder, also called a mental illness or psychiatric disorder"

so far all i'm compelled to believe is that you also think people who want to change their legal names have a mental illness

i was hoping decimation would come to the conclusion on his own but this works

“Illness” is sometimes used to describe conditions, such as schizophrenia which has a strong biological basis but is not at all confirmatory.

Um...
GID [Gender Identity Disorder] is classified as a medical disorder by the ICD-10 CM and DSM-5 (called gender dysphoria).

they use the word illness for a whole slew of things, that's not a compelling argument. it's interchangeable

not all trans individuals have gender dysphoria, note "This condition causes clinically significant distress or impairment in social, occupational, or
other important areas of functioning."

I was diagnosed with Gender Dysphoria. I'm pretty sure it's a standard diagnosis when trying to determine if hormone therapy is necessary.

This right here is proof that the only reason you post in threads like this is to argue. You don't care about the subject matter or whether or not you're right, you simply enjoy arguing with people. Your type is poisonous to intelligent discussion and I'd like to ask you to leave now.

Remember, this is a guy who's been through like 10 accounts that we're talking about
lo and behold people still really try and take him seriously

remember to call people trolls if you can't refute their arguments

i mean, it has to be considered that this country is fairly garbage with diagnosing and treating people, so there's that

even the creators of the DSM-V are backing off lmao

I like to call this kind of post "stuffting on the sidelines"

The common cold is also labeled as an illness. I don't think catching the common cold makes you mentally unstable, so that's that idea down the stuffter
