You should take our industrial assembly robots as an example in the industry. Realistically Japan cannot compete.
This is a big roosterfight between junkyard dork machines. Kuratas is no exception to this. So now that i think about it, Japan is more than able enough of a competitor to make an entertaining toy just like megabots can only make yet another toy.
This stems from the issue that i have with people pulling "Japan is the robotics pioneer" out of their ass because they saw their favorite anime on TV had robots in it. Its loving stupid. Boston dynamics really slams the hammer down on this with PETMAN and BigDog as examples. Japan is a technological entertainment show, they only just started trying to improve on their tech since the nuclear plant disaster.
Also forget youtube comments, they give me cancer. Maybe i'm taking this too seriously but anyone who remotely takes this "fight" as proving grounds of where we are at in the industry are morons.
