Author Topic: my game Circuit Breakers is on greenlight  (Read 6726 times)

i can't tell but are the aiming controls a set movement, like north, north-west, west, south-west, etc. or can you move freely with your mouse?

yeah, it's not a traditional twin stick shooter because of the exclusively-octagonal aiming arcs

its a design choice we made because now we can do things like have obstacles and enemies that take advantage of your weird aiming / movement / fire patterns and have to be solved through more involved combinations of the things that the player can do as opposed to just being a 'well you have to shoot him better or he'll kill you' situation

online multiplayer is awesome, but at the same time... playin games with buddies on your couch is an experience that can't be paralleled, and i think making games that cater solely to that is still totally viable.

like, i had a lot of fun playing halo reach on my xbox as a kid, but it can't touch playing juggernaut in halo 3 with all my friends in his basement.

this guy's got a point
Wait, how does that work out to five thousand extra dollars?

Not if you want to make money unfortunately.

Looks really cool, just voted for it on greenlight.

I know you didn't ask for criticism or anything, however I wish you guys zoomed in a bit more in the trailer. The art and effects are really cool when shown up close.

i dont really seem to have any pull from the marketing angle but thanks for the goodwill regardless

I would buy this for 29.99 ;-;

might be late but holy stuff kickstarter staff pick

also crucial forgetin question: if the stretch goals (extra areas, skins, bosses, online MP) be eventually completed after release? or will they be placed under a "Not Happening" clause?

will the game still be happening even if the kickstarter fails

will the game still be happening even if the kickstarter fails

will the game still be happening even if the kickstarter fails

i genuinely have no idea. im having trouble following the antics of the rest of the team and nobody's telling me anything and there's a lot of stuff happening

but we got featured yesterday and The Youtubes are making videos (projared and the beard bros in particular really liked this game!) so there might be a saving grace as of yet

bosses, skins and online multiplayer will be eventually completed after release. extra areas will eventually appear merged into the inevitable new areas we intend on releasing

it's really more like a 'get this at launch' thing then anything else

like i say 'my game' like it's actually my game, like i have control over it? it's actually contract work. it's my game in the sense that i made it and i'm directing it but technically i'm not in control of the entire project and 'my' next game will almost certainly be wholly-solo so i can get that experience first hand

and also make all the money
