Author Topic: Most annoying and fustrating NPCs in games  (Read 6091 times)

After making the most frustrating and annoying missions thread its time to talk about those loving annoying non playable characters that want you to go on a quest and get killed thousands of times, want you to drink radiated water for a survival guide and get nothing in return after each quest, keep telling you to "HEY LISTEN" or think resting the gamecube is a war crime.

Here are my Most annoying npcs:

Hitman 2 silent assassin, the guards in hidden valley, at the gates and shogun showdown

I have said many times how the missions that take place in japan in hitman 2 are the worst but the npcs is one of the main cores of why. In these castle missions, you see a bunch of guards wearing the SAME clothes and if you take their clothes, unlike the other guards wandering around any guard you come across will go ape stuff and tell you to stop and if you do stop they'll "Check your ID" and then proceed to call you a bastard and kill you. Here is a demonstration:

Worst loving missions ever.

Gta vice city police

Vice city's police are the most brutal pieces of stuff ever, So there is a gun fight between two gangs and a police car drives by. They don't exit the car to engage and instead move along, if Tommy engages in the fight with anyway of attacking then the police WILL get out of their car and start attacking Tommy meanwhile two groups of gangs are having a fight. Whats worse if the Haitians start attacking Tommy and you try to fight back you still get wanted. Yeah forget the police in this game

The grim reaper, Sims 1

So if a sim dies and you tried to plead the grim reaper wants you to either play rock, paper, scissors or ignore you completely. If you lose at RPS he will turn your deceased sim into a zombie, if you plead sometimes the reaper will say "More sims are dying in simcity right now! I won't resurrect this one!" what other sims there's only one neighborhood for goodness sake, if this was the sims 2 it would make sense but not the first game

What are your annoying NPCS?

do you get to the cloud district very often?

NPCs in GTA V.
1. they drive really badly, they will randomly run you over and keep driving which is really annoying
2. the enemy NPC aim is insane. they can shoot a sticky bomb out of your hand from a moving car in one shot, causing it to explode (WHICH I HAVE EXPERIENCED MANY TIMES)

That one blond dude in one of the Elder Scrolls games, was a huge fanboy of the player.

I can't think of any outstandingly bad ones recently, but I thought Elizabeth from Bioshock Infinite was really good. The only annoying part about her was BOOKER CATCH

Arma AI can frustrate the hell out of you if you don't see where they're at.

Any kind of teammate AI in a competitive game are handicapped or overpowered, no exceptions.

Civ 5 AIs work by either forcing themselves into massive debt (-150 gold per turn, 0 in the bank) or by earning 150 gold per turn and never spending it. In my experience civ ai just doesn't do anything on it's own, which kinda makes the game feel lifeless and boring.

I believe the Civ AI also cheats.

Any escort npc

"Oh this guys is dangerous? Let me walk into him just to double check"

Gran turismo

"Let me just do a little highspeed tap right before the finish."

Star Wars Battlefront

"Let me walk into this wall for now but snipe you from the other side of the map later."
