we banned lego at first because he was straight up godmodding by having his character land EXACTLY on top of another character and hitting them with some BS insane attack that was being shown as just outright killing a character.

we're not going to just have things be like "lol character dies cause other dude fell out of the sky on top of him", cause thats a stupid thing to do.

There were other motives to get him banned, if there weren't you wouldn't have banned him and actually gave him a second chance.

Look zhart i could care less what you think about how we do stuff, i am in this comic for the sake of having fun, we're not trying to have a serious RP we're having fun
all i see you do is forcing your ideas onto others and if they don't do it your way they're the goddamn devil basically: You're wrong and i'm right syndrome.
Like i said if you don't like how we do things here either make your own collab, or just don't come into this thread, there is not a single person forcing you to do so.
also i'm not your buddy

gotta agree with this. this system is killing all forms of creativity because there's barely any freedom. step outside of the safe zone and you get banned instantly
We do not want someone to just drop in and kill everybody's character ending the comic inmediatly, there is no fun in that

oh and one more thing (and this goes for all comics): why the hell is everyone fighting each other so much? what motive is there? is this the only form of storytelling you guys can produce?

this connects to my "showing off OCs in action scenes" post earlier
more comics are on their way and will be less action based you just gotta be patient

To quote lady sev, "Trying to make a deep and involving story is dumb"

I've been trying to get involved and make a deep story about invisible players within the entire big picture (eg. Mercs, government organizations, etc), but nobody else sees this. I would rather do this with storywriters than artists.

We don't even know jack stuff about the characters at all, which would've really help explaining things. even TAILS GETS TROLLED had better characterization, forgetIN TAILS GETS TROLLED.

The very concept of all characters fighting is completely counter intuitive to "having fun"; Someone is going to lose and isn't going to enjoy it. Plus the goal established by not-monolith building was to KILL each other to win.

i dont know why you guys gotta talk about fightin so much cause me and densitron haven't fought anyone

admittedly their story so far is pretty dull but thats cause i'm not that creative when it comes to stories and has nothing to do with the ccb rules or anything

the amount of purple on densitron's face

stuffs disco

-more salt-

Is it only me, or do you seem extremely aggressive against me due to calling you and your skype group which stuff talks people behind their back.

Make no mistake I didn't do this to create an argument, I didn't do this to piss you guys off and make you livid at my behavior, I did this to prove that you guys literally get ticked off at the slightest sight of an opposing opinion.

I am clearly cognizant of the fact that you've probably been talking stuff about everybody who called you guys out or even attempted to argue against the ideals your skype group, at this point it's not even funny when you try to come up with your arguments like "I don't care" even though you clearly do care enough to respond to me.

I certainly can believe that you are in this for the 'fun', but your idea about how a roleplay plays out is literally the devil incarnate because it's wrong, you guys believe that a roleplay consists of a bunch of guys sitting on their arses all day in a skype call, asking each other if they could fight or in what direction your mediocre story would head to.

Honestly right now, I have to state again that actually decent roleplays are not going to be decent if you script every single little action that happens, it's the suspense of what happens next that gets you, knowing what your opponent will do or who you will meet isn't fun, having to create a script with another guy about everything that happens in a battle when you know you will lose the battle isn't fun, it's boring and you just want the other guy to get it over with.

Allowing actual freedom in this thread would be much better, seeing as there are some actually creative individuals which would be much better off without being kept on a short lease and going straight through the grinder if they dare do something they didn't ask permission for.

i mean isn't this just a fun collab where we create a comic story with each other? not a serious roleplay???

no

well, except for the part where i tried to ambush you but that's beside the point

Exactly what the issue I see is occurring. The story is less of a free-flowing story and more of a mutual handshake between characters and it all comes off as suppressed and artificial. It feels like everything comes to a screeching halt when any sort of decision or agreement is made, and that characters don't really feel as if they're in the same sort of plot space because every interaction has to be brown townyzed, discussed and brown townyzed.

What's getting me is that what kimon said should be true. If this was just a fun collab where you created a story with each other, I don't think any of the drama would have happened in the first place. You guys are taking the wrong part of this thread too seriously and it's going to end up blowing up time and time again unless you reevaluate what you're doing.

I don't think the problem stems from having a group of people poke and prod the story in certain directions, that keeps the plot grounded and kept away from wherever the forget and ending up a mess. What I do think the problem is that you are taking your own rules too seriously, and stifling creativity to a point.
