Has any Windows 7 users gotten the update to 10? My brothers have a laptop that has the notification, but no option to upgrade yet and a computer that never even got the icon

The way I did it was to frequently clean out the SoftwareDistribution\Download folder, run wuaclut.exe /updatenow (or whatever it was) and restart. Every time it would put more files into the BT folder until it hit the magic number.

Or you could have installed the tool, let it download the update, then just installed Windows 10. :P

So, the only issue I've had all day was that ASUS GPU Tweak wasn't working in Windows 10, had my GPU idling at 60C for some reason. Switched over to Afterburner and we're good now.

i installed it on my old HP 2000-365DX laptop. Jesus christ this laptop is aids. It runs better with windows 10 instead of windows 7. God win 7 is horrible.

Unless he is actually uninformed... Windows 10 is free, once you get it there is no yearly/monthly fee, you have 1 year to make the upgrade, if you don't then you have to upgrade the old fashion way, go to the store and buy windows 10, like you did with Xp,vista,7,8...ect.
