Author Topic: is g2a.com legit?  (Read 5175 times)

i heard about this on reddit, and i wanna know if it's legit or not. it seems people buy steam keys in bulk or something and give them away for a cheap price. sounds too good to be true.

I see ads for it at the movie theatre

i remember one of my friends got battlefield 3 from it. i never used it myself.

Whilst g2a is legit (I've had a few games and bundles from it to steam myself) you are running the risk of using a stolen key. I haven't had any trouble with them (except having to wait about 20 hours for them to switch key supplier).

I got a game off of it once, yeah it's legit

Any problems I've had with it were resolved quickly.
Only thing I can suggest is never get the "random steam key" bundles.
They're all trash games.
I personally never purchased it, but every review for the product is negative.

Apparently all the games you get from the random steam key purchase are worth less on g2a than the random steam key purchase.

No, it's not.
Seeing as you're in the minority here thinking that, why do you say it's not?

Almost every game I have is from G2A.
Could say its legit.

Because they get keys illegally or from foreign countries where the keys are cheaper.

Also, it doesn't bode well for your business when one of the top suggested searches is regarding whether or not your business is actually ok to use:

I'm sure people get plenty of keys for cheaper than retail value that aren't revoked or aren't illegally obtained somewhere down the supply chain, but as for the question of is a grey-market website legit, I don't think you can say it is if there's a risk associated with buying keys from there. Personally, I'll stick with Steam, Humble, GMG, and gog to get my games, just seems simpler and less risky overall.

buying keys in bulk = lower price. have you not thought about that? if they were from foreign countries, the keys wouldn't work (i'm p sure).

You don't think Steam buys keys in bulk? lol
