Author Topic: GRAV - FPS Survival with an MMO twist  (Read 4069 times)

In GRAV players will explore massive procedurally generated worlds and have endless adventures in a hostile universe. They will discover planets constructed with a unique variation of oceans, mountains, plains, and canyons.

Each new world is populated by many different plants, animals, and mineable elements. Players can explore the massive environment above ground or journey deep into one of the hundreds of dungeons each with their own collection of assorted bounties. Whether playing alone, or with a group, players will need to delve deep into GRAV’s richly populated worlds to collect and harvest resources. Rich mineral deposits and natural occurring elements allow players to build epic bases complete with automated defenses and traps. In addition, players can craft weapons, armor, and other equipment to help them survive in a dangerous universe.

Notes from myself:
This game is actually really entertaining and has MANY hours of play, I think I've done about 10 hours and I'm not even a 1/4 way through.
If you're a fan of World of Warcraft, Borderlands or ARK, you'd love this. Really nice MMO style system that is unlike any survival games of its time. It's been in development for quite some time and still is in early access but updates are frequent and massive. Well worth picking up if you like the three games I mentioned.
Soundtrack is awesome, the scenery is just amazing and it is definitely worth a buy.

I played it and refunded it about an hour after.
There isnt really much to do except constantly collect stuff.

Well obviously you don't understand how the game works, especially after an hour. It takes a while go get to grips with it, but it's really fun when you actually understand it. There are instances (like wow) from level 1 which are fun with bosses inside

unless you know, he doesn't like the same things you do?

The game isn't about
constantly collect stuff.

Just saying, he could have enjoyed it more if he worked out how to play.

it looks like it plays like rust

then what is it about? if it's an MMO, i'm inclined to believe espio unless you can be more specific

Nah its way more advanced
I want you inside me

Dis game is on my wishlist, has been since I first saw it on steam
looks hella fun

Can you drive/build vehicles in the game? Can you mine like in minecraft, where the ground and areas around you can be destroyed or modified?

Just read the reviews for this game. Evidently its bland, buggy, not much to really do, and has a pay2win system. Apparently the game makes you grind forever to get resources and build a base, and combat consists of nothing more than meleeing, backing off, meleeing, backing off, repeat.

The price they are charging for the game is pretty steep considering this. I was expecting something so early into its alpha to be free to play or 5 bucks at the most.

Anyways, apparently Trove is a game similar to this, minus some of this games flaws, and is free to play, so I might check that out.

sounds like the standard "fps survival mmo" shlock, all it needs now are zombies
thanks for clarifying that

and i'm sick of voxels :(

I can tell thats from an old review. There's quite a few vehicles, not that buggy for an early access game, no pay2win or micro transactions so I have no idea where he got that idea from. I don't ever use my melee weapon, I have a few assault rifles I use for different zones.
Might not be your kind of game, but it's a quality game to say the least. Very acceptable price for this game, even considering its on early access. I've got so many hours now, and never once have I wanted to put it down or felt at all bored. It's not grindy if you play it right.

They're asking you how you play it. The only thing that they see right now is that the only thing to do is to grind. Explain how you play the game.

you make a thread for these mmo survival games every week
but then again theres a "new" one every week
