Author Topic: Kicked out of fencing club without previous warning  (Read 2852 times)

it's interesting how we manage to live in a strictly right handed society. pretty much everything is made for someone who's right handed. even the way you write is more fit for a right handed person- i mean come on if you write an essay with your left hand you're bound to have a bunch of smear marks on it because you can't help it. drawings i make when i'm doing traditional drawing forget up sometimes because of the fact that i got smear marks all over it. i could go on for days about everything that's more beneficial to right handed people but that's not really what this is about.

as ridiculous as it sounds it was probably for the better of the club, as if pie crust went up against a right handed person, the swords would be parallel as said previously. you wouldn't really be able to fence unless one or the other person switched hands, which would obviously not be optimal (unless you're ambidextrous) for the person who had to switch hands. the person fencing with their normal hand would have a clear advantage, and would most likely be the victor because of said advantage. i'll agree that's it's a pretty stupid reason but when you think about it from that kind of standpoint, it would make some sense.

Become ambidextrous and rejoin

Bring a real sword and force them to let you back in.

challenge the president to a 1v1 duel

The problem I see isn't that he got kicked out for being left-handed, but that they lied to pie crust about the reason why he was kicked out. That seems really stuffty in it's own right to make up a reason rather than just explain why.

It'd be like firing an employee for looking weird but telling them it's because their work effort sucks.

What job is there that is significantly and negatively affected by someone looking weird

It's called benefit of the doubt. I don't want to doubt the story because I want to discuss the story.

whelp if most of the world is right handed guess what

I found a new club. A bit cheaper than this one but further away. I'm going to check in on sunday. I'll just keep the thread open so you can keep discussing about whether lefties are devils and lies are bad.

didn't the owner of abercrombie and fitch not want to hire "ugly" people or smth

Also, do you pay a members fee? If so, is there a contract and does it say you can be kicked out for something like this? If they insist it's because of your equipment ask them to go through your equipment and explain where the fault is.
pretty much all contracts that business make you sign before using their stuff says that they can kick you out/ban you/whatever, for any (legal) reason that they want, so that probably wouldn't have done any good anyway
That is almost as dumb as the ferguson protests
this is the worst, most senseless post I've ever read

molten has pretty much gone to rock bottom and he's realized it, now he's just fishing for replies so he gets attention
