I wish people would stop calling CNN liberally biased. They're one of the more fair channels actually. A lot of articles, including the one on the subject at hand, are written without any slant. Just pure facts, especially when covering live. If there is an opinion, they say "In my opinion" and keep it short. I watched coverage of the gay marriage celebration and President Obama singing for hours (plane flight, only a few free channels), and I was impressed at how unbiased it all was.

Honestly, I'm beginning to think networks become "liberal" as soon as they don't tow the exact party line of the more far-right conservatives.
They're all garbage and biased in some way.

CNN is all like "WERE ON SEEN RIGHT NOW! CORRECTION 5 MINUTES AWAY FROM THE SEEN WHERE A MAN SHOT AND KILLED! CORRECTION WHITE tribal SHOT AND KILELD 10 BLACK PEOPLE HOLDING DIPLOMAS CAUSE RACISM!" whereas fox is all like "INSIDE JOB, TRYING TO TAKE OUR JOBS AS PART OF SOCIALIST CONSPIRACY, THANKS OBAMA!".

I myself I biased toward the middle and pull information from different sources and from my own knowledge and experiences to draw my own conclusions.

IMO CNN and MSNBC are just as stuffty and biased of sources as Fox is. Republicans and Democrats are both stuffty in their own ways.

what reason is there to believe this

What part are you disbelieving? That the cop was injured by a black man, or that the reason he didn't use force was to avoid race controversy?

If you're arguing that he wasn't pistol whipped by a black person, that's ridiculous. It's verifiable. They have someone in custody for the crime and it happened in public where people took pictures of it.

If you're arguing that "I didn't use force because I didn't want a race controversy" was a post-hoc addition to the story to stir up media attention, then maybe it was. But Occam's Razor dictates that the reason he was battered and didn't fight back or shoot him was probably because of the reason he said it was.

I also read an article during the Charleston shooter's capture, and they were so focused on being unbiased that they called the shooter's act "alleged," even though it was obvious he did it. No mention of racism.

The Republican party has been taken over the by the fringe part of their own party, these people like Ann Coulter, Sean Hannity, and all the other fringe lunatics are the driving force for the GOP. Fox News is basically run by the "preachers" Goldwater was talking about. These people place emphasis on buzzwords very much the same way SJWs do, as well as fear mongering, where they pretend that anything and everything is an imminent threat that will destroy America. From the whole Muslim "no-go zones" to Ebola, these people are convincing their viewers to vote for the most fringe Republicans like Donald Annoying Orange.

If Goldwater were running during this campaign, that'd be great.

they take money from foreign dictators to make propoganda and force america into wars, not to mention that they spearhead the tribal witch hunts

There are plenty of cases of covering abuse by the Bahrain regime, both before and after locally and internationally. The documentary iRevolution was aired numerous times, including local and internationally, and was about numerous different uprisings, not just Bahrain. Choosing to not air something that cost hundreds of thousands of dollars because 13 minutes of it features a certain regime is ridiculous, especially since it would probably pour in more than what a minuscule dictatorship could offer.

News companies want attention, it sells. If you're talking about coverage of violence in Iran and Syria, then sure. I don't blame them. But the way they report factually on matters, especially in regards to my earliest post, they're the most trustworthy out of all major news networks in the US.

Dont care what the truth was. I just enjoyed a cop getting hurt :p

Too obvious, try again.
