i am legitimately scared of the future of the world

maybe it's just because i'm tired, but atm i'm pretty spooked about this planet's future
the united states is pretty much just a ticking time-bomb; with all these protests and riots, economic inequality, horribly broken political system that's extremely prone to corruption (you've heard this all before etc etc)

also there are many conflicts around the world just waiting to become more violent (kosovo, the greek financial crCIA, and crimea in europe; israel/palestine, iraq/iran, CIA, and various unstable nations in the middle east; frozen conflicts in the post-soviet states; the two koreas, and tension between china, taiwan, and japan in asia)

either we're going to do something really loving stupid overseas (like we haven't already) and spark a major war, or the government will refuse to change and we'll have the second american revolution and the world economic system and balance of power will collapse. either way, unless the left and right stop fighting each other over handicapped issues and actually work together to solve the nation's problems and stop taking bribes from companies, the united states will end the world plunge the world into some very dark times

p.s. europe if we fall apart you have permission to rebuild your empires, which may include annexing our scraps

Whatever happens I can guarantee two things and I am willing to bet any amount of money on them: There will be no global nuclear war, and Israel will not be destroyed. nuclear war is never going to happen within any of our lifetimes
every government knows exactly what would happen if they used a nuclear bomb, and really just want it for MAD

israel may or may not stop existing but it's of no major importance on it's own to be honest, i'm more concerned about how that might ripple to the global powers.

i don't think there will be a civil war in the same fashion as the (real) civil war where states fought each other, i would find it more likely that citizens protest/revolt against the government, and some states may be more harsh or sympathetic than others.

The leaders of Iran are quite close to insane though. Their whole government promotes terrorism and radical islam. They want to destroy Israel at almost any cost. They are just biding their time right now until they have their nukes (which they will inevitably get soon now). They can try, but they wont be able to destroy Israel or nuke them.

Your forgetting nuclear war can not only end other lives but also end the lives of those who started it, nuclear radioactivity can also reach the atmosphere and damage more areas than the targeted.

but i think outside of those regions it will stay peaceful until one of the global powers (US, Russia, China, UK, France, Germany) does something rash or has a revolution. china has a strong enough control over their population to avoid it, most russians have faith in their government, and i can't say much about europe but human development indexes, GDP per capita, democracy indexes, etc put the UK, France, and Germany above the US, and even if the EU crumbles, there will not be another european war.
