Ironhax, and a new hack not mentioned earlier called Youhax is now available for usage. Works on firmware between 9.0 and 9.9, on both old (3DS, XL, 2DS), and new (New XL) 3DSes.

Ironhax uses Ironfall, a free game on Nintendo eShop (was removed on EU a bit ago, don't know if it's back), which allows you to run homebrew without internet. However, it also requires Youhax.

Youhax uses YouTube for 3DS, and a DNS change. Running YouTube now automatically starts Homebrew Launcher upon changing DNS.

i didn't see anything about "you can still play online games and not get in trouble with nintendo" on that faq

why would i want this then?
custom themes and a game from 2007 don't even out half the games i own and basically any applications being severely cut-down in content or unusable in the first place
