i dont like how pc's are even compared to consoles
they're totally different
Well
used to be different.
I would say there was a time when getting into PC gaming wasn't as simple, easy, and as accessible as it is now. Like a SNES and a computer running MS-DOS were pretty different, different types of games, ways to play, and just the overall way things worked were different from each other. Nowadays consoles and extremely alike to PC's, the only real difference is the lack of options and things you can do on a console compared to a PC and the simplicity in the design and setup of it all when it comes to a console. There has never been such a better time to buy a PC and this is coming from a person that's grown up with consoles all his life.
yeah nice emulators that barely ever work and end up loving up cutscenes and gameplay
Depends really, most emulators for games before the 5th generation work damn well. For the 5th generation there are some games that did glitch out, I remember trying to emulate Spyro Year of the Dragon and it wouldn't even start up the title screen and I really wanted to play Banjo Kazooie one time, but the graphical glitches made it unplayable. Of course some of these problems probably have been fixed since then considering it has been years since I've last emulated those games.
6th gen and beyond is pretty finicky, I did some experimenting with PCSX2 not too long ago and I would say I had a 50% success rate out of the handful of games I tested. Some games had some terrible graphical glitches or ran terribly in a way that made the game unplayable. In some instances like Burnout 3 the graphical glitches could be fixed, but in other instances there really isn't much you could do about it.
However those are just the games I tested out, some people might have a different selection of games which work out perfectly.
