But what your saying is that they are totally different things which they are not. I'm not debating their performance or specializations, I'm talking about at the bare bones level they are the same.
It's like with cars. I have a Dodge Challenger and you have a Lamborghini Gallardo. They are two different types of cars, but they are both cars.
Do you get what I'm saying?
let me re-word myself because reading back i think i might have said something wrong
im not saying they're completely different machines (imo they are close but i get they're still computers, sorry if somewhere i explicitly stated that they werent cus thats not what i meant), i just mean their intentions are totally different. ones clearly designed for the use and play of games and ones clearly designed for everday modern use that just happens to include games (or whatever you specifically design it to do, since you personally have the say so with no restriction on how powerful you want your machine to preform)
I would say there was a time when getting into PC gaming wasn't as simple, easy, and as accessible as it is now. Like a SNES and a computer running MS-DOS were pretty different, different types of games, ways to play, and just the overall way things worked were different from each other. Nowadays consoles and extremely alike to PC's, the only real difference is the lack of options and things you can do on a console compared to a PC and the simplicity in the design and setup of it all when it comes to a console. There has never been such a better time to buy a PC and this is coming from a person that's grown up with consoles all his life.
consoles are definitely starting to be more like computers in the versatility aspect though which i think i stated earlier, what with that one video where someone composed all the times they said "TV" when they announced xbone. ive noticed they've got fully integrated internet browsers too, and they've even announced mod support for GTAV if im not mistaken. ( i easily could though. that was a claim i over heard and did no further research on) so they're definitely starting to be more and more similar, i just think a PC is still too versatile next to a console to be fairly compared
