Except raising the min wage just raises prices in general. It literally loving balances itself out so nobody is going to be rolling in their "new found wealth" here.
i didn't actually say anything about minimum wage directly. i just said that people working full time shouldn't struggle with barely enough to survive. we have other programs in place that help with that. i was stating my concern for a problem and the minimum wage increase would be a potential solution.
but ya the minimum wage wouldn't be raised instantly lol that would obviously be stupid, because haphazardly injecting money into the economy is a silly idea. the minimum wage would have to be raised gradually. bernie's plan calls for it being $15/hr by 2020 but i think maybe over a decade or something would be more reasonable. and
possibly a lower amount, trusting welfare programs to help make up the difference (which would allow us to cut back on our spending with those programs a bit). the economy needs to have a chance to catch up.
