The Alaskan National Guard is immediately mobilized upon invasion, and naval forces begin to establish a heavier presence along the pacific. The National Guard, seeing as the already-landed Soviet forces are possibly to be too strong for a counter attack, begin attempting to establish a defense along the occupied areas. M60A3 Pattons and newly-produced Sheridans are also granted to the Alaskan National Guard for deployment. Mobile AA units are also deployed along with the National Guard.
In the meantime, heavier missile defense systems and anti-aircraft weapons go up along the coasts, with other defensive systems being set up at the capital and inland.

Military aid is given to non-occupied NATO countries currently fighting the good fight, with portions of the US military landing in France, and Norway, to help defend. A small amount of the US naval forces also move to defend the Mediterranean. A second force, larger than the Mediterranean group, moves to defend the English Channel. The navy in the Pacific Ocean moves to intercept any spotted Soviet ships. The US Airforce is also deployed along the West coast and the Alaskan state to begin air-superiority and interception missions along the west.
