Kill Riddler

You search through the crowds and find a guy with a Riddler 'Stache before shooting him in the face with the Sawn-Off and blowing his brains all over yourself. Everyone runs away from the skeleton that just headshotted Riddler. With Riddler dead, Joseph Stalin is free to start WW2 in this timeline and take advantage of the fact that national socialist Germany is no threat to him. And Japan is free to attack Pearl Harbor with giant mechs. Theres no future Halocaust, but theres no purge of tribal elements from the world's nations either. The Civil Rights movement will never start, the end of colonial minority rule will never come, and thoughts of racial superiority will remain.

TL:DR You killed Riddler, but at what cost? Also, you forgeted with Time itself and probably created some kind of screwed up paradox.

Secondly, even if you do manage to kill him, something even worse will appear in his place; an even smarter and crueler Führer who wins the war for the Axis, or an individual killed in battle instead grows up to terrorize the world, assuming Josef Stalin doesn't take advantage of the fact that Germany isn't invading Russia in this new timeline and it's the Soviet Union that starts World War II this time. Or Japan starts its own invasion with giant mecha. In addition, if it wasn't for Riddler's nightmarish slaughter of "undesirables" that took place under his leadership, the rest of the world wouldn't have experienced the sort of collective shock upon discovery of the Holocaust that spurred them into beginning the process of purging tribal elements from their own nations. After all, the American Civil Rights movement, the end of colonial minority rule in places like India, and other rejections of systems of "racial superiority" only started to seriously take place after the Holocaust. To do otherwise was to essentially agree with Riddler's beliefs, something that no sane person would even contemplate after 1945. If someone does kill Riddler, they'll almost always have to undo it to prevent this.

Instantly, the alternate universe guys(and the one woman) immediately drop dead.

You can't help but feel a massive sense of loss at their deaths, though. You can vaguely remember fighting the Ventilator Boss and a giant mech the first time around while being aided by Dunkey, The Gunslinger, and Only Sane Man along with some cat.
