Author Topic: Do you still own physical copies of games (for pc)?  (Read 2451 times)

I found an old copy of that Jurassic Park game Dino Defender

Does a mayflash driver disc count?

Ok ok, the only i will probably ever keep will be the fallout 4 disc

S'cool

What PC games do they even sell physical copies of anymore, anyway? I'm curious, I haven't checked that aisle of the store in ages
I think my local shops have a few of the big multi-platform games, like Battlefield or Assassin's Creed, but it's mostly obscure things like random puzzle games. Also a lot of simulators, like train, farming, bus, etc...

Generally there's a bigger section dedicated to Nintendo e-shop games (which is a peculiarity of its own) than there is for PC games.
I guess the market kind of just accepted that transition to digital retailers, and the few remaining things are just for your grandma to get you that unheard of game for your birthday because she knows how much you love your computers.

I will probably get GTA V off of the disk because it would take too long for me to download

Still own a physical copy of Tf2 when it was not f2p

rayman 3, beyond good and evil, far cry, assassin's creed 1 and some other game

i got them in a collection for like £5

Own? Yes. Use? Very very rarely.

-fallout 1-3 (havent touched 1 or 2 yet)
-NFS underground 1 and 2 (50% of my childhood)
-Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 (first game I ever played)
-Splinter Cell Double Agent (havent even touched)
-Modern Warfare (never bothered to try)
-Spore (one of the first games I bought myself)
-Dawn Of War Anthology and DoW II (to this date my favourite RTS)
-Borderlands (Havent touched in a while)
-Trackmania Sunrise (bought it god knows how long ago)
-Battle For Middle-Earth 1, 2 and ROTW (another 50% of my childhood)
-Gothic-trilogy (pretty nice game. Controls are kinda tricky to learn because there is no tutorial)
-Sid Meier's Pirates (havent touched)
Starcraft II wings of liberty
- Warcraft 3

I have a physical copy of half life and opposing force but they are useless because I don't have the CD key (well I lost it)

The sims 2(Cant renember if box or dvd case.).

Roller Coaster Tycoon 1-2-3.

And many more.

i have loving piles of PS2/PS3/PC/handheld discboxes

I've got CoD WAW & MW1 and Lego Universe (RIP)

My PC doesn't even have a disc drive anymore. Last PC game I bought a physical copy of was Fallout 3 when it came out 7 years ago.

I had a physical copy of Pajama Sam once... It broke :-(

I prefer to buy physical copies if possible because I've always had bad internet and downloading games are always painful.
