Author Topic: Do you still own physical copies of games (for pc)?  (Read 2114 times)

it's always nice to own a physical copy of the game you're buying, but considering how many pc games are digital only, it makes sense to buy most of them online

Fallout 4 on steam is £39.99, Fallout 4 physical is £35.99.

I like physical copies as once you're done with them you can sell them for $$$.

I prefer digital because they can't be broken and are stored in a big library and on your drive.

I've never even seen a physical PC game.

I dont believe you.

I lived in the middle of nowhere with no electricity for the first 10 years of my life.
I haven't been playing computer games for that long by the way

I have some hella old games still, ones I bought when I was about 7-10 years old. Haven't bought any recently besides my Fallout 4 pre-order

I think the last physical copy I bought was the collectors edition of Spore. Which was 7 years ago

Even retail stores are replacing physical copies with online downloads. Like I got Microsoft office for work from a best buy store, and the contents was just a scratch off code and instructions for where to redeem it online and download it

Most modern games have a key for steam or similar that your have to link to an account and can't reuse

Is it really that far fetched that somebody hasn't seen a physical PC game.

I got this FPS game, it was pretty good, I got it for 50p, and it had singleplayer and online, online was abandoned, singleplayer had a tutorial level, where they had a training course full of armed enemies, I think I lost it though.

:(

When you're 23 years old, yes.

i have a few physical games from a while ago

proeminently, there's 2 copies of a 3 disc pack with 3 games that definitely don't get enough recognition and you should totes try out:
-Mashed - Drive to Survive, a cool as stuff racing game that i played a ton when i was little. i've seen some bad reviews of it, but you should definitely give it a go
 - Billy Blade and the Temple of Time, a nice adventure game thing, not really an original concept but a lot of fun
 - Savage (a game by ASUS), a neat RTS, seems to have completely disappeared off the face of the internet

also a really cool game that i have and no one else has ever heard about is Yager, a PC port of an xbox game, about a freelance pilot, stufftons of fun, nice story. really underrated game. seriously play this if you can get your hands on it

i also have some games which i haven't played that much and really didn't pique my interest, like Delta Force: Black Hawk Down (apparently a really good game?) and Vietnam: Special Assigment 2 (a generic shooter), as well as a copy of Xpand Rally (which i've never actually played)

I have 4 that I know of.

2 of which is rct 1 and 3 and the sims 1. I would say 5 but I don't think Kid Pix counts as a game lol. does it?
