Yeah true. I wonder what the chance of each container dropping a part is, though. If they don't guarantee drop parts, then this new ship will be nearly unobtainable without paying plat.
From what I can tell from having punched crates it's a part every crate. The problem is that it's a
25% 50% chance (Each part drops from different containers, for Grineer, Corpus, and Void tilesets. This is assuming that the part and the loving blueprint have equal drop rates and it's not skewed to the blueprint or the not useless thing.) for the part you want from a crate which spawns 10% of the time in an area that can either be out of the way, on the path to extraction, or not in the map. Without any prior indication as to whether or not it's there beforehand.
I found a rare Grineer container today and punched it open in the hopes of a Mantis part, any part. I got a blueprint. I have not experienced such soul-crushing disappointment since discovering that Archwing had a separate set of mods for a reason I cannot wrap my head around. Or that time the log-in reward scrolled past three potatos and two formas and I got 2400 primary XP.
