what did he do

you're only allowed to buy at the vending machine at a certain time, and is restricted during loving lunch

i'll let that tell you if my school is strict or not

Mine had a stupid thumb-scanning system for all thinks food-related, including vending machines.

I never got put onto the system, since I joined that school part-way through a school year, and I couldn't be bothered to do so since I always had a packed lunch.

But if I wanted say, a piece of fruit, or a bottle of juice, I couldn't buy it.
Even though I had cash in my pocket.
They would not accept cash at the vending machine, or the snack shop, or the cafeteria.

I had to get my thumb scanned onto the system, then put money into a different machine that would add it to my account, and then scan my thumb to buy stuff.
It was fine to embrace technology, but to make it so that I can't just buy something with a coin was stupid.

oh, i see now from the quote

those type of imgur links were used to install botnets on comp's and all

there are court papers filed and they pay a house visit if you miss more than 9 days of school, and you have to go and meet with stupid committee of attendance to explain your absences

they told us this at the beginning of the school year and i'm already at like 5 or so absences, wondering if they were bluffing or not

My school was kinda like this. All through K-12, we had the accounts, but with a number you typed into a keypad. You had to put money into your account, then use the number. It was only at the regular lunch lines though, not vending machine. Those were just normal vending machines.

No, it wasn't an imgur link. It wasn't a valid link to anything. Trogtor quoted it a page back, its just http:// with a bunch of characters

Court stuff may be excessive, but 9 days a year really isn't. It's really not the schools fault if you missed 5 days already in a month, maybe two if you have one of those early starting schools

Your classes are less than an hour long?

English and Calculus are 50 minutes each. My physical science lecture is 75 minutes and my lab can go as long as 100 minutes, although it has been as short as 20 minutes before.

i've been in school for 3 months lol, i was sick 3 of the 5 days and i have doctors notes that the office has to prove this, and yet they will still make you meet with a committee to reiterate what they already know from the documents at hand. you dont get in any trouble if at least half of your absences are with a doctors note

We switched from a paper method of "Demerit/bad point" cards, where your parents had to sign it, to an online method of demerits. No one cares about demerits, except if you get 5 you have to attend a penal.

If you do miss completing homework, the teacher gives a homework penal. Most teachers don't actually check the homework there assigned.

We do wear uniforms, but you get used to wearing a uniform. Doesn't really matter as it is a boy's only school.

Damn. With the exception of like one or two classes that were only one or two credits, all my college courses where at least 2 hours long

Wow wtf kind of schedule is that
That's still a lot tho.
I probably missed a total of five days throughout my entire 4 years of college. Highschool I don't know.

How often did you have them? I have calculus every week day and english every other. So if added together for a whole week that'd be 4 hours 10 minutes and 2 hours 30 minutes respectively.

i get sick a lot during the school year and it's probably because the school is unsanitary as hell. this year i also have a ton of orthodontist appointments scheduled so its basically inevitable that im gonna hit 9 days soon. i wish theyd actually look and see if they have doctors notes or anything like that before they make me go to a dumb meeting

Ah, the two hour long classes where two days a week, so 4 hours as well. That kind of schedule sucks if you don't live on campus, though. Do you?

Ah, yeah. I think my hs made some sort of differentiation between "excused" and "unexcused" absences, where excused would be things like doctor appointments. Not sure what the specifics where

No. I drive the 30 mile roundtrip daily in my rattling shrieking clunker. I usually try to make the best of it and study for several hours or do other things in the area though. Gas is pretty cheap here too so I'm not taking huge hits right now.
