ok no im sorry but undertale just is not a better game than ocarina of time and we all know this

i personally like undertale more but i also don't really like ocarina of time that much so IDK man... undertale has definitely had more of an impact on the way i look at games and on my life in general than ocarina of time ever would, though i guess there's also an element of context in that i didn't experience ocarina of time in its generation

i do think the poll is a bit wonk because undertale is fresh on people's minds, but the poll is just a popularity contest anyway so???

someone else can take it if they want to, i don't want to go any further with it because i don't see myself using it anywhere

modify it for a textbox system on a single player rpg server, or something, idk lol

I've seen people on the tumble with the equivalent of "forget your opinion, choose this thing I like"
We should leave best game ever to the critics

the only Zelda blog I follow was like",,,, get ur friends to vote for OoT,,,,,,,, it deserves this way more,,, exploit the system and votw on ur phone too,,,,,,," but I've been seeing undertale blogs forcing their opinion down my throat aswel and I even made a mock post about it because I'm edgy and cool

The argument for Undertale is that it has character, but that's all it has going for it. If you look at any other revolutionary game, you would see that it would have more going for it than Undertale ever wished it did.

Or how about we just don't do "best game ever," ever. Because guess what, it's completely subjective. It will vary from person to person. There is no objective way to say "This is the best game!"

it's completely subjective.

Technically, it's not completely subjective.

There is a lot to do behind what makes a game the 'best game ever', and I'm fairly certain that Undertale doesn't even come close to the criteria. Much like how metacritic got brigaded, gamefaqs also got brigaded.

I like undertale and all but the way that the fandom is showing their appreciation for the game is really scummy

Nothing in that article implies that it's anything BUT subjective. In fact, their only sources are lists of subjective reviews. The ones that get the most good subjective reviews are placed on the list and that's the only criteria that wikipedia takes into account.

It definitely means that some games are better than others in the sense that more people like it, but that doesn't mean there's anywhere near an objective way to tell whether a game is the best. It's the exact same as saying "What's the best food?" or "What's the best movie?" There is no answer, because everyone has different tastes.

that's still subjective

just because some game reviewers said they're the best doesn't mean they are, their opinions on the best game aren't more valid just because they have a website

for example, I think the original resident evil is awful, and nowhere near what I'd consider "the best game"
