Please continue delivering OP

op remember to drink lots of water no joke

drinking water made me feel better after dropping soda altogether

absolutely. I'm at the point where I feel like I can't go a day without drinking at LEAST 3 bottles of water.

Op, don't starve yourself, it only makes you hungrier and it doesn't make you lose weight afaik, I hope you pull through this and good luck

gotta go fast!!!!

Yeah, but I figure I might as well kick it off right.

anyway, today was pretty cool. I was able to get a social civics exam taken care of (just in the nick of time) and I was able to go to the gym with my aunt in the morning. It was pretty nice. Warmed up by alternating between walking and running on the treadmill and then went to this weird thing where you alternate between equipment in set intervals. We left after that, but I feel like I got enough in, and we'll be going more often too, so I don't have to rush anything. also, I've got 10-pound and 20-pound dumbbells, so the RIDE NEVER HAS TO END.

I feel more powerful already.

welp, nothing eventful happened today. basically stayed in all day, but I'm really feeling the effects of yesterday's workout. and I think I'm already seeing definition somehow, so that's cool. it's a good idea to give the muscle groups that were worked a break for a day, right?

you bet man

do this and planr will give u a pet :panda:: do 10 pushups tomorrow morning when u wake up

breaks are fine to let yourself heal up a bit, but stick to your routine and you should be golden :D

the weather was real nice today. we went to a nearby park and walked for a mile. and then I took the opportunity to sprint, which felt great. not going to be able to go back to the gym until Tuesday, but that's not too bad. I can focus on working and squats or something.

not to discourage you but the definition you're seeing is actually just your muscles still being pumped from the workout, it'll go away

and yes, resting the muscle groups is important to prevent them from being over-worked. as a beginner you probably won't need more than a day to recover between sessions. you may still feel sore, but don't use that as a gauge as to when you should work out.

Ah, well at least it's working.

And thanks, that's good to know.

what routine are you following right now at the gym?

💪👀👌 this will be you

what routine are you following right now at the gym?

Well, last time I went, I alternated between walking and running for a half mile on the treadmill, then I started in on this preset routine thing that the gym had set up. It's basically a bunch of equipment in a circle, each designated for different muscle groups. I pretty much worked everything, but my triceps seemed to get the most out of it (if i was to gauge it by the impact I felt the day after).
