Did you not know this was gonna be a thing until now?

Obviously not.

Half the preview screenshots are the same thing but if your character was black instead lol

Why do people think this is so bad?

the mouths never looked good to me
neither did the eyes
or the bending arms and legs that don't fit at all

It's just that this isn't a very good idea at all.

Yeah it looks like some fan made stuff with the way its animated, a cinematic Minecraft game can't really work that well for obvious reason.

Why do people think this is so bad?
The game itself will be good but my god of all the things to base a game on

But why though, does something like minecraft really need a linear story
Also the models are really not made for this kind of stuff, it looks butt-ugly

Basing a game on a game ain't really an issue.

And tbh, not like we haven't had stupider things, like a movie based on Battleships the boardgame, or a stuffty comedy based on 80s pixel games.

But why though, does something like minecraft really need a linear story
Minecraft doesn't need one. This isn't the canon of minecraft, like that stuffty end-credits scene.
This is just a story set within the concept of Minecraft, in the exact same way YouTubers have been making for years.

Except this one will have a team of professional writers who have made several award-winning games so far.
