Author Topic: So I found an iPhone  (Read 1830 times)

So walking home, I found an iPhone 5c on the road. I picked it up and it was pristine, like someone left it there. I turned it on, and it had a password on it. I brought it home (Bad idea) and I get an alert on it saying it was in "Lost Mode". Lost Mode tracks location so I removed the sim-card and powered off the phone and now its sitting next to me. I cannot restore it. I am scared that they have my location now.
There is a Lost Mode message on the phone, saying "Whoever took my phone you better give it to the front desk or I will I do make you hurt" (what)
Idk who the phone belongs to, but I don't want it anymore. I don't know what the 'front desk' is so I have no idea of where to return it. I feel like I should destroy it, but if the owner comes to my house and asks for his/her phone, I don't want to give him a piece of smashed plastic and metal.

What do I do, forums?

sue him for threatening you

Power it back on untill the owners ring the bell and give it back.
If the owners are rude and go storming in your hoise throw it on the grouns and throw whats remaiming of it in their face.

Emergency call someone and say you found the owner's phone in the middle of the road. That theoretically should settle it peacefully.

Wipe it and keep it, obv.

Hold onto it, they will undoubtably come knocking. Also put the sim back in, they will accuse you of stealing even more if they realize that, put it back in now and you can BS that it musta lost service

Just turn it on and message the guy back saying you found his phone and want to return it, 9 out of 10 times that person will be grateful and kind to get it back.

Can't wipe it. When I connect it to iTunes, it says "Cannot connect because phone is in lost mode blah blah blah"

Put it in DFU mode, but they already have your location, gaurentee it

I picked up an iPhone 6 in the hallway on the way to my fourth hour on Monday, with intentions to turn it in after that class on my way to lunch. The Lost Mode went off in the middle of a test and then when the teacher asked what it was, I told her that I had found it in the hall and was going to turn it in, but then she gave me this look that said she didn't believe me and now my class thinks I'm some kind of hoodlum

Still, just turn it in. It sucks to lose a phone.

Turn it in, don't be greedy.

Wait how the forget do you activate lost mode in the first place.

best turn it in you forget
