TL;DR Star Citizen devs say that progress isn't being made and their boss' are starfishs. $90,000,000 down the drain.

well, that's disappointing

you'd think companies would have learned not to treat devs like dirt by now

i'd take the article with a grain of salt due to anonymous sources (even though that is what happens in journalism, in order to protect your sources from distress). if the austin studio does close down, however, i'll be more inclined to believe the rest of the article.

the stuff about gardiner feels like "trodden employee stretching truth about higher up", especially since they feel the need to get her not on just being arrogant, but also being classist, tribal, bigoted, mean... it seems iffy, like they can't just say what her real problem is, they have to tack on extra stuff to make her seem real bad so it's report-worthy

but a lot of this stuff sounds pretty believable, lol. i always had doubts about star citizen, it seemed the goals of the project were always too big to succeed and they were kinda just saying gaming buzzwords to get hype, which they DID - more hype than any other kickstarter thing in history. i'm not saying i'm not into what they're promising -i'd play the forget out of star citizen... but it just rubs me the wrong way.

it's past 10 where the forget is more news

haaah, I knew this game was too ambitious.

star citizen more like star deported

it's past 10 where the forget is more news

timezones son sit your ass down and be patient

don't worry guys all my friends who bought into this game assure me it's entirely playable

I have never actually heard of this game, but it seems things are worse for it than starbound?

to be honest i've always kinda felt that star citizen was a stuffty game compared to how shiny and fun it tried to make itself sound.
