Author Topic: Question for Badspot: Will you add Steam Workshop support for addons?  (Read 4671 times)

Badspot doesn't do anything anymore.
Hes right though.
Naturally, Blockland is not as engaging for me to work on as it used to be (what were you working on 10 years ago?  Is it still entertaining for you?) - but I would still like to improve it.

Also, this is a newbie question but.....
What exactly is a workshop?

Steam Workshop is something where you can share saves and mods for several different games. And a couple of them allow you to submit stuff for the devs to add.

Think of RTB but even better and specifically designed for and by Steam for modders.

I think workshop integration would be great, but I doubt anything will ever be better than RTB was. It was a completely tailored solution.

RTB definitely worked very well for its time, before steam. I wonder if Ephialtes would've pushed for Steam workshop integration had he stayed onboard.

Ephi stated he wanted to work on community features and services for free but there was no followup. On the contrary, on Badspot's server, Badspot claimed he offered to pay Ephi to work on BL but he wasn't interested.
