Halo has always had good story
Not really. Serviceable, yes, but I wouldn't call it particularly good. What was good was the worldbuilding and background lore, especially the air of awe and mystery surrounding the forerunners and their constructions. Then Halo 4 blasted any forgetin mysteriousness about the forerunners out the goddamn window by revealing their arsenal of weapons to be boring generic sci fi guns and having them take center stage as an antagonist who looked like a gorilla with leprosy and wanted to blow up Earth with an tang-deathstar thingamabob or some handicapped stuff.

bungie

come back to us
please
master chief needs you

Bungie has a Destiny to fulfill

what happened to bungie anyhow

what happened to bungie anyhow
most of the employees that worked on the halo trilogy left when bungie started to work on destiny

some went to 343 but meh

Martin O'Donnell and Michael Salvatori did amazing things with the soundtracks, i haven't heard anything in Halo 4 that i thought sounded good, i hope 343's audio team does something better and more memorable with Halo 5's soundtrack

But it's probably not likely...

It's kind of sad to witness the death of a franchise I grew up on. But you can only ride a dead horse for so long. :c

A dead horse is one thing. This is 343 raping the horses corpse.

1 like = 1 pray

especially the air of awe and mystery surrounding the forerunners and their constructions.
the forerunners are my least favorite part of halo
I don't think there's anything really interesting about an ancient, powerful race, who now only exists in the form of ruins and artifacts
you know, like in the elder scrolls. and assassin's creed. and alien. and borderlands. and mass effect. and known space. and...

I don't remember anyone in elder scrolls or assassins creed or borderlands building colossal space habitats with their own ecosystems
also the forgets wrong with you saying the forerunners are your least favorite part of halo is like saying cars are your least favorite part of need for speed, the games wouldnt exist without them

Is rocket punching a new mechanic because that's all I got from the trailer.

I think it looks radical, don't know why you guys are all upset about it.
To each their own I guess, I'm really excited.
