Wearing a dress to school as a guy is something anyone with common sense knows is going to cause a huge distraction. It doesnt matter if he considers himself transgender or even loving thinks hes an octopus from mars. If he has any common sense then he knew good and well that what he was going to do was going to distract a ton of people and get him a lot of attention. The fact he decided he needed to do that just so people could know how he feels about himself tells me he just wanted the attention more than anything (he is also just further reinforcing stereotypes about lgbt people by his actions). If you are gay then ok whatever, just forgetin tell people and dont try to make a scene about it.

Your friend deliberately made a scene for attention, and got exactly the result he knew he was gonna get.

Source: My high school had lesbian, gay and transgender kids and they never did stuff like this. They just simply told people they considered themselves gay and that was it. They didnt whore for attention by trying to be obnoxious and flaunt their loveual feelings in peoples faces.

Also Planr just said something pretty intelligent, so what he said, I support.

What bothers me the most is that
he was sent home
thus interrupting his education.  However, if it was distracting other students, then I think it's reasonable.

On a side note, what does UCLA have to do with this?

I meant to type ACLU. Oops, lmao, I guess I can't get the help of the University of California, Los Angles.

tbh you should stay at the gender you're assigned at
having a stick between my legs that i can do things with is great

Is this supposed to be bashing me? Because that's definitely not how I think. Assuming makes an ass out of you and me, remember?

I'm not.  I'm just saying watch what you say because it could reflect negatively on you.  Maybe you do or do not care, though.

has anyone brought up the point that maybe if you don't align yourself with the love you were assigned at birth, and you like to wear clothes that aren't really designated for that gender... that maybe you'd like to wear them without getting a whole lot of attention? like sure, as of now if a boy were to wear a dress in school it'd be considered totally abnormal; however it's not like they want to attract a huge amount of attention, they just want to wear what they think looks nice.

i don't know where you're all getting the idea that this person WANTS all the attention. i'm sure they expected it, but none of you can read minds and just assume they're wearing a dress for the reason of attention. did you think that maybe there's more to it than just grabbing for attention...?

i like how sheep totally disregards two sides of an argument to push his biased 1960's agenda, and instead just reiterates his point of view.

sheep is probably that kid in school who flips everyone off, listens to what he actually cares about, and swears in every sentence
and probably is constantly hit by his parents for doing all of the above

Hey Guys. I have been thinking, and seeing how toxic this argument has become I think that we need an actual Genderqueer person put into this thread, that's why I talked with my Non-Binary friend, Ollie, to explain what the difference is between Gender and love.

Everything is on a spectrum. You can have a snake, a Vagina, or an Interlove organ, This is what you call, love.

The second part of the spectrum is gender identity. You can identify as male, female, or somewhere in between, or neither.

There's also a spectrum of loveuality and a spectrum of gender expression and so on.

No one is 100% Straight 100% Cis 100% Male or 100% Female. We all lay somewhere on the spectrum.

I completely agree with Ollie, but my opinion seems to be in the minority of the people I know because I am a Christian in Southern Georgia :P

Also another thing to people who respond to Sheep and people like him. If you want someone to be educated on a touchy subject, why not talk with them calmly and not act like overly PC Tumblr Feminists.
