some dude faking as an ADT (that alert system for your house) employee said he needed to check it. we have ADT signs in front of our house so thieves think twice before breaking in. my dad explained to him that we didnt have it and it was just there as a decoy, and then an argument escalated which resulted in the fake dude opening the back gate, breaking into the backyard and releasing my two dogs. the dogs just went the normal route we went whenever we took them for a walk, so they came right back to the front lawn a good 30 minutes later. my mom had to call out of a meeting for this, too, but when she came, the dogs were already right at home. the guy wasn't arrested, though. he managed to escape.
