Faraji keeps looking for branches and twigs to put in the pile.

Faraji and Leoc gather up a good sized pile, more than enough to get the fire started.

Loec drops his bundle of kindling and begins arranging it for an adequate air source. He then motions Faraji to lay his bundle down.

Blatsa attempts to grab one of the frogs and kill it.

Hocef sets up any other rocks from inside the cave to contain a future fire. Hocef decides to chop the branch into fire sized pieces and remove as much bark as she can in hopes of being able to ignite the wood by itself.

Faraji does the same.

Just a note, I think if it's simple actions like these, the result is more up to you.  Another thing is since you've come close to being able to make a fire, and now that you have all the supplies, you can go ahead and do it.

Blatsa attempts to grab one of the frogs and kill it.

Blatsa succeeds in grabbing a large frog and uses his knife to cut off the head.  Luckily, the sky, now full of stars and a thin crescent moon were able to provide him with enough light to accomplish this task.  Blatsa does feel a bit squeemish as the now decapitated frog still squirms while in his hand, dribbling a bit of blood down his hands.  After about a minute of this, the frog stops moving.

Blazer stands up, looking around him and sees something peculiar growing on the trees providing a bit extra light.

Blatsa tucks the frog into his waistband for safe keeping for now, and looks for any others.  If there are frogs, he would attempt to catch them.  If not,  he would look for tinder.

Blatsa notices another few frogs around him.  He can hear many more, however.  Probably a lot more than he could carry.  Blatsa catches three more frogs, tucks them into his waistband, and then looks for tinder.  He finds a few sticks on the ground, but most of them are damp in the swamp.

Yes, they were killed in the same fashion as before.  One of them is still twitching its leg a bit.

Blatsa moves inland and collects some dry sticks, and finds himself in a thin forest.  More dry sticks can be found here.

Blatsa gathers all the sticks together, and finds a somewhat flat, albeit heavy stone weighing in at at least 120 lbs.

Well.  Blatsa gathers the sticks on top of that stone then, assuming it's level, and looks for a small, relatively flat stone.

The large stone is slanted slightly, but it isn't something that can't be corrected (remember that humans were stronger in these days).

Blatsa attempts to correct the angle and make it nice and level.  If successful, he would organize the tinder into a fire pit, then strike his knife against the flat stone in order to spark a fire.

Blatsa succeeds in making a fire pit and strikes his flint knife against the stone, creating a small shower of sparks with each try.  The sticks eventually ignite.  After a minute, Blatsa's fire is crackling away.
