So, how come voting is in segments? Is it to just consolidate space?
I only want to ask because wouldn't splitting nominations into blocks cause voters to lose interest and to be more spread due to timing issues?
I mean, this is also why I thought nobody on the list deserved the title "Blocklander of the Year" because I thought the 6-7 candidates listed were somehow already condensed as finalists. But forget me, right?
A total of 70 users were nominated, so I broke it up into 10 polls of 7 users due to a nice round number factorable by 10. Had it been something like 72 or something, I would probably have done something like 8 users/poll over 9 days. If it was a prime number or a number with stupid factors (like 39 or 51), I'd have simply made one or more of the polls with an extra member.
You'd also know if the current poll contains candidates for regular polls, semi-finals, or finals if you read the schedule that I put in the OP. Even then, I'll probably update the title when the semi-finals or finals begin.
