Confident males tend to be severely obnoxious. I don't think that's a wanted quality, unless the female going with that male is also obnoxious.

I think you're confusing confidence with arrogance

but yeah, rally's advice is probably the best

take all the fashion advice and run before its too late

I'm not sure why you would think that. It's not a trend I've noticed in my interactions with people.

I probably am, but being an obnoxious jerk can sometimes do the trick if you want to pick up someone who isn't in special ed.

Is that because they bullied you in middle school lol? Confident people also tend to be more successful in basically everything they do, especially courtship.

i've said why i can't get contacts

Can you describe your 'condition' in more detail? I'm not sure I understand how glasses are supposed to fix a lazy eye and honestly it just sounds like a stuffty excuse. Either way you can still get an appointment and get a new set of glasses which are more fashionable.

This is literally the single dumbest thing in the entire thread. Even that golden "bitches" line from my man hillkill doesn't compare to this.

I'm not sure if it's your intention, but this post basically conveys "if you're a nice guy you'll always lose :( :( :'("

Which is an age-old rationalisation for guys who can't interact properly with women

these are the only ones in there that looked good. i'm not spending 200+ dollars on glasses. also, this is what my eye looks like pretty much

oh forget yeah you need glasses

you can rationalize spending 200 on glasses by understanding how much you wear them and how long they are gonna last, often years or all of your life if your head doesn't grow.

also consider saving up to get surgery over the summer

we have no way of acquiring 2300 dollars for the surgery (the price the doctor gave us). we don't have the finances to buy glasses so we only get the ones that our insurance will fully cover.

I've read that strabismus somewhere can actually be controlled / treated with contacts but I'm not gonna lie, that's unfortunate. You should still talk to an optometrist about what you can do to fix it and consider cosmetic surgery. Or if you don't have the money just get an eye patch or something, it'll probably make you more interesting if you pull it off right lol idk. You don't have to fork out +$100 for a pair of glasses if you look properly, I paid around $45-60 something for mine and they work just fine. $200 is actually relatively reasonable price for a sturdy pair of glasses if you plan on having the same pair for multiple years.

Also I highly doubt you've "tried every treatment" for cystic acne but I'd more or less understand if your parents don't want to fork out money for acne treatments. In which case, don't worry about it, you're only 16. I've met a lot of girls who more or less don't give a stuff about acne as long as everything else is on point for the most part. The problem with acne is it usually deals a blow to your confidence, and confidence is always the determining factor between the persistent alpha male and the needy beta creep.

oh word i understand. well if you do good in the other areas then people might look past the eye problem, everyone has insecurities so im sure they will understand unless they are richards.

alpha male
beta

lol stop

regardless of the ridiculous alpha/beta PUA wording rally is right: confidence is key. It may take a while to build up, so try throwing yourself into social situations you wouldn't normally. Don't do it in a weird annoying way, though. Like, join a club or something. I know for me, getting a job where I had to interact with many people on a daily basis helped a lot. Maybe start there.

Oh yes this so much. Before getting a job as a cashier where I have to interact with people, I didn't talk to anyone unless they approached me first. Even then, I was still very shut down. I still have a ton of trouble with this at college and stuff, but when I'm around other people who have some sort of idea of who I am, I'm drastically improved compared to before I got that job.
