Author Topic: PS3 is only 100 bucks at EB games. Worth it? UPDATE: Got it, doesn't work  (Read 4176 times)

Alright I got my PS3 finally but when I turn it on the HDMI output that it's plugged into keeps flashing (like it will appear and disappear constantly). Did I get a defective ps3 or am I doing something wrong?

first I would make sure you've plugged it in properly, and after that, try it with a different cable

I did all that and it didn't work but then it started working again. Well it was working again. But a couple hours later when I decided to try to play EDF 2025 it started doing it again.

This is what I mean when I say it's not working https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0JJVMco10Y&feature=youtu.be

give it back to them and then shoot up the store

Refurbished yes.
if you're sure it's not the HDMI port on the TV or anything (which i'm sure ya checked out along with trying other cables n stuff), take it back to EB ASAP. I'm pretty sure they'll take it back no problem. Just don't do anything silly like forget something that came with the system or the receipt.

A shame that it doesn't work but eh, sometimes things slip through QA or the repair doesn't stick.

hold the power button when you turn it on. it could be in RCA output mode

if this didn't work then make sure you do it again to switch back to hdmi

i mean the ps3 ofc not the tv

i think you got uhm... rekt

Refurbished yes.
AKA Wipe it down with a Damp Towel and bundle 3rd party cables.

Joke aside try this first its kind of common when you buy used things, you would be surprised how many people still play on a old TV and for many reasons, reduced controller latency being one of them.
