I am in this camp.

There was a family theme to the originals, with Luke being Leia's sister, and Vader being their father.
It would be fitting for Kylo and Rey to be cousins.

However, Rey remembers being left on Jakku, and I doubt she wouldn't know her parents. And if she knew her parents I'm certain she'd know that her dad was Luke and he saved the galaxy.
Also questions who her mother is.

Also I'm in the camp she's Leia and hans daughter. Being Luke's daughter is so obvious and when they reveal it, it would be like yeah we get it lol move on.

Being Han/Leia's is also full of plotholes though too.

Why does Rey not remember them, or either of them mention it to her?
It would explain her force sensitivity however, but let's remember that the Skywalkers aren't the only family to have the force.


I think her being Luke's daughter would be a nice image, but at the same time, it is predictable and as discussed, it doesn't quite fit in with how any of the characters have acted towards each other yet.
Perhaps her parents won't be characters we have seen in any of the previous films.

but why didn't they treat her like they even knew her? I mean if she was their daughter, they would have recognized at least some of her traits and her name.

Here's my theory.

Rey is Han and Leia's daughter, and here's how it could all make sense.

Kylo KNOWS Rey. After Kylo "turns" to the dark side, he goes and slaughters Luke's academy, where Rey is also being trained. He see's Rey at the young age of 5, decides not to kill her, because it's his own family, because he isn't fully committed. He captures Rey, wipes her mind, and leaves her on Jakku. Leia, Han, & Luke think she died in the slaughter. That's why they don't suspect Rey of being their daughter. However, throughout the film, she finishes Hans sentences, Han gives her those "looks" of "i know you...", stuff like that.

That's just my theory.

Also, Luke's lightsaber was lost in Cloud City but somehow ends up at Maz's and she does say "Thats a story for another time" so I'm guessing some smuggler or trader got it and it somehow ended up there and she got it
