Author Topic: The world needs more guns  (Read 13182 times)

pretty sure the founding fathers had no concept of fully automatic weapons

The point was the need to overthrow your own government if and when needed. The weapon needed is irrelevant. Technically, the second amendment allows us all nukes so long as we are on equal grounds to our oppressors.

Most of the people saying we need to ban guns arent even from the U.S, Even though guns are the "Cause" of all the Massacres', Imagine how many lifes they have saved, When rapists with knives break into some ones house, and all the pusillanimous individuals doing this are attacking gun free zones. And all who said that the founding fathers had no idea what would come of free guns,
My question is why are we saying "Ban the guns", yet shipping refugees' out of a country CIA is based out of? The crazy stuff is, none of the pictures show familys coming into america, it is men in their 30's the prime age to fight.
Bingo

Also bingo. We were given guns to overthrow a tyrannical government.

The Second Amendment of the United States Constitution reads: "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
Only thing is that it doesn't define 'Militia' so I guess you can call a family of gun owners a Militia. A well regulated one if they actually take precaution and are taught how to use their guns

On the subject of the second amendment, If the federal government actually wanted to do something to lower gun violence they would offer things like free gun safety classes and offer training to anyone who wants it, like the swiss do.

If everyone owned and carried at least ten guns I'm pretty sure none of these mass shootings would occur

It's all about leveling the playing field

the us is weird
and violent

I lean towards the idea of banning guns but it's way too late for that, there's already more guns than people here I figure. It's impractical to confiscate weapons. Only solution I can think of is to stop the selling of guns and wait for this generation of gun owners to die.

Only solution I can think of is to stop the selling of guns

That sounds like a great idea! I'm sure the rampant unemployment and loss of business plus the estimated $6 billion in revenue generated by gun and ammunition manufacturing alone wouldn't outweigh the benefit of alienating half your population in the name of muh safety

Just outright banning the sale of guns isn't a solution in the states. Not only is it a deeply entrenched icon in culture it's a a big player in the nation's industry (sans sales to the government and military of course). It's a more complicated issue than that and it's going to take better legislative action beyond banning guns to ever make really an impact

There's also a bit of a gateway effect to making/writing laws into effect. Once you've passed one, people are going to want another and then another and eventually the US turns into a gigantic No-fun-allowed zone. Nobody likes a control freak(s).

What you pro-gunners don't realize is that "muh bear arms" was created when you had to actually out the powder and the ammo into the gun individually. There were no automatic pistols or machine guns or pump-action rifles or any stuff like that.
Quick edit. I don't want to come off as a complete anti-gunner. This was directed at those who use the right to bear arms as a defense for every argument.

Imagine trying to shoot up a school with a pistol like this.

Might you want to use a musket instead?

Maybe you could kill one person if you had a really good aim.
Oh, and the bullets? Excuse me, MUSKET BALLS.

Good luck. Even with a bored gun you'd have a hard time actually hitting what you're aiming for.

I can tell you've never shot black powder weapons before lol. As an owner of several each and everyone of those guns shoot will still very lethal accuracy. Also you haven't heard of a Remington 1858 before have you? Quick change cylinder and can fire six shots. Just as lethal as a semi auto.

"Imagine trying to shoot up a school." ?

What do you think thats what pro-grun advocates think about all day? For a lot of us shooting is a sport. Also snip your images you moron, they're stretching the thread. It was also pointed out in previous posts that the right to bear arms by a lot is considered just having people past or present armed in general, for protection against foreign invaders and also protection against our own government should they decide to go evil on our country. If you even had the attention span to notice that.

Also you forgot about the Minie-ball ammunition which appeared very soon after the revolution. Accuracy is no longer an issue with black powder weapons. I don't feel like i can credit you with having much knowledge about guns anyhow.

jesus christ willy page stretch

So tell me, why does the advancement of firearm technology undermine the second amendment?

Does the fact that guns are easier to handle and use mean that the people should no longer be allowed to possess firearms?

Battlefield or CoD in a nutshell.

Ruski weaponry is better than americano weaponry.
