I know for a fact the kid infront of me pays crazy amounts of money for a tutor and is one of the few people in my class that gets a's on most of the tests

I'm surprised I even have a c in this class considering I've failed 3 tests and gotten d's and c's on all the rest

skill at being really upset and staying up all night and taking a test half asleep after the teacher taught you jack stuff and you taught yourself 90% of the information and only 50% of that was on the test and you miss most of the questions

I'm not entirely aware of all the circumstances in your life, but many people make this complaint at my school even when I know from personal experience that it isn't true. The issue is usually with their own study habits.

I went from being a C-/D+ student in 7th/8th grade to a 4.0 throughout high school, and what really makes the difference is the work you do at school. Taking notes is essentially 90% of the work, and if you're paying attention in math class, you shouldn't need to do anything more than run some practice problems and finish homework at home.

Take advantage of your student resources too. Have people read and edit your papers, and then read and edit their papers in return. Get the Mexican kid to look over your Spanish work and make the corrections that he suggests. Make a class Facebook page and invite all your classmates to it, and then use it as a resource for disseminating information about due dates and the like.

I'm pretty upset because I'm likely running a C in calculus (professor doesn't release grades). Almost every test I've done, I've gotten a C. The self grading online homework is so glitched up that I can usually only do as much as 80% of it because it says I'm wrong due to some sort of spacing error or something (e.g. I enter "(8,4), (1,9)" but it calls me wrong because it was supposed to be "(8,4),(1,9)"). As someone who has to do so much math for my career plan that I could literally get a minor in Math, this is not good at all.

Even a dropout can be accepted ibto like 90% of collages, and most jobs never care unless they require college.
