lets go get pizza
ugh italian immigrants get out
this is a joke

Gun restriction would actually fix it. Take the firearms from the civilians and they won't be able to shoot up a building when their raise is denied.

Criminal scum will always go against the law.
I know everyone is railing on you for the other stupid stuff you've said, but in this post you contradicted your own point. Yes, criminals will go against the law, that is why they are criminals. Laws exist as a deterrent for most people to achieve self gain at the expense of others. They set boundaries and a set of common rules most of have agreed to follow, and they also give allowance for law enforcement to punish people who violate those rules.

What laws do not do is prevent criminal behavior from someone who has already decided they are going to act outside the law. Taking away and banning guns from law abiding citizens does not deter criminally minded people from committing crimes.

I don't know if you're stuck in a world of video game logic where you think police are omnipresent and can respond to situations immediately, but I can tell you that is not the case.

the majority of would-be criminals would not go to the ends required to get a weapon in a country with strict gun laws.

Edit: Think about this for a minute. Why have a police force if you're going to let your citizens defend themselves?

Hatfields and McCoys ended well, didn't it?

Edit: Think about this for a minute. Why have a police force if you're going to let your citizens defend themselves?

-organized crime (an unorganized group of civilians will have a very hard time dealing with something like this)
-authority figure who's sole job is to protect citizens  vs. any citizen who doesn't have to help you or doesn't want to get involved
-trustworthy figure who has authority to make proper calls on situations and has experience with the situation

the US still has a big problem. unfortunately, this doesn't change that.

so instead of the little shootings, we have strictly trained terrorists and jihadists
the problem still exists

According to the work in this article, about 300,000 Americans have died as a result of domestic gun violence in the last decade. Compared to 74 deaths (at the time of the article) to domestic terrorism. Add the 14 from the last attack in San Bernandino, and you get 88.

So, America averages 30,000 gun deaths a year, compared to 8-10 people a year dying at the hands of domestic terrorism.

America doesn't necessarily have a terror problem, it's got a gun problem, that should be addressed by policies rooted in facts and hard numbers that address the causes rather than ideology alone.

Funny how we somehow fear terrorism, though we are more likely to die at the hands of our drunk/deranged family members, angry people, gangbangers, etc.

While it is still far more than terrorism related deaths, it's highly misleading to include firearm related Self Deletes, nearly 2/3 of firearm deaths, when talking about your risk of dying by someone else's hands.

Holy stuff I missed that part where is said it included sucides.

Still though, the general idea stands.

Kudos to him. Guy deserves a medal.

I've been to Florida, New York, California, Virginia, Alabama, Washington DC, Kentucky, Texas, ftfyMississippi, Maine, and South Dakota.
And while you were there you met every single person residing in those states

Going by your logic
